    says about http://looney.physics.sunysb.edu/guestbook/daffy-Europe.shtml#3:

    Frangrance fades away from the red lotus-roots;
The lovely bamboo mat becomes cold in autumn.
    Gently loosening his silk robe,
He mounts alone the magnolia boat.
Who would have sent an embroidered letter from
    among the clouds?
When the message comes back from the wild goose,
The moon has filled the western chamber.

Flowers fall and waters flow by themselves.
It is the same kind of yearning-
An idle sorrow in two different places.
This sadness cannot be dispersed or banished:
It has just left the eyebrows
When once again it enters the heart.

(Tz'u poem of the 12th century by Li Ch'ing-chao)

    OKAY! Back to reality:

    HI Ming!!
Your guestbook is so cool...like the rest of your homepage!
I guess your homepage is the one I visit the most.

Chinese greetings from an Indonesian Chinese to a HK Chinese..

    Chinesely yours,

Gee, Esther's so poetic, does that mean I have to reply in poem?? Guess I have to dig some poems up in the library... :-) Meanwhile, thanks for the nice message Esther!

    Ming's Reply

Oh hi oh hi pascalijn! Guess I'm not soon enough sorry =) Unfortunately Queen Millennia is such an old show that it's almost impossible to find anything related to it, especially for the TV series. The QM movie seems to be a bit more widely circulated (though I like the TV series much better), so there may be a slight chance you can get an LD of the movie. Guess you have to ask your local LD import dealer... Good Luck!

anime series, Queen Millenia. *sniff* I though no one really knows
about it, except me! I have been watching it when I was small and it
always stayed in my mind. I only remember an episode where Yayoi
climbs on the top of a high-rise building to save the city from a
giant wave. I also remember that the German opening theme was really
nice! Thank you so much for that page, the songs are GREAT!

Hi! I own an English dub of Laputa and it is worth so much to me. I have heard that it is very rare as it was never released on video outside of Japan. My version is recorded of the TV so it isn't great quality and there are commercials every 30 minutes. I also think that some parts have been edited as often happens when movies are shown on TV. The video cassette is also old and I don't know how long it will hold out so I would like to know if there is any way that I could get an uninterrupted version. I know that is available on Laserdisc but they are hideously difficult to find and I have heard that they don't make them any more. If it was ever released on DVD then i would like to know because I have read that all (or most) animes relesed on DVD will have both Japanese and English language if available. This would be very, very helpful. If you could just put in your information section this information, if it is available I would be very grateful.

After having seen the UK release of Nausicaa (AKA "Warriors of the

since, I think it's fabulous that this, towering work has such a

following. I now know the version I saw was horribly chopped with

about twenty minutes taken out, so that might be why it lost a

little something now and again, but nevertheless, it was still one

of the finest pieces of cinema I have ever seen, ranked alonside

giants such as Akira and Ghost in the Shell.

Having read the script as translated on your page, I'm filled with

a new enthusiasm for the whole film, and am currently trying to

locate the UK and subtitled japanese versions, Alas without

success. But While my search continues, at least I know there are

other fans out there, and someday, I'll see Nausicaa hop aboard her

    kite again.

Thanks for the memory. It was nice to be ten years old again.

    Hi!

    My name is Karin Hansson, I live in Sweden and I'm a huge animé fan. One of the best and cutest I've ever seen was Totoro and since it was such a long time since I viewed it, I'd love to get my hands on it. But it's very difficult to find in Sweden and I'm terrible when it comes to serching on the net. And since You have a hole page dedicated to it, I'm going to ask You for a favor. Ok,here it goes;

"Do you know anywere on the net where I can by Totoro?"

I hop You wanna and can help me! Thanks.

    Your friend!

    ;-) Karin

    Hi!

Totally agree with your opinions on Laputa, I love it. I first saw

it in England when I was little. Now my 18 year old self has to put

with a very worn out copy I recorded off the TV. Waiting impatiently

for them to release it here in merry old England on DVD. I take it

you already have a DVD copy, lucky devil.

    See you later.

    David.

    Hi!

Conan was one of my favorites programs when I was a child.

I remember myself coming back from school and watching DR. SLUMP, DRAGONBALL and CONAN. I was so sad when it finished.

    Thanx for this website!

Great site! Like the others from the UK, I saw Laputa when I was little (I'm 18 now). I was thinking about it the other day, trying to remember the name of the film, so I searched on the net and ended up here. The synopsis page is great, really brought back a lot of memories of it. Thanks! :)

Hi!Just thought I'd say that I recently aquired a copy of Laputa; I had seen it twice before when I was younger; once at about 8 and again when I was about 16, though never in it's entirity. I always remembered the sense of wonder and incredible mystery it bestowed on me; on viewing it again after all these years it's power had not diminished.Indeed the sense of innocence and it's classic premise of ultimately doomed beauty moved me just as greatly as it had before; I think the maker is a true genius!
